As a certified and licensed massage therapist for the past 23 years, a licensed esthetician (skincare) and a certified yoga instructor she has a huge heart for health. Having come from and studied in California, Valerie has adopted the midwest and her beloved community of Port Byron and the Quad cities as her home. With a genuine desire to share the love of God, the beauty and healing properties of nature, and her care-giving abilities with others.
When Val and her husband James moved to this beautiful spot on the Mississippi river, they knew this amazing dock needed to be shared with the community in a special way. So Yoga on the Dock was born! Surrounded by the most breath giving beauties of nature; enjoy a unique yoga class on the river! Classes held on the Dock May-September.
During the colder months come inside Val's warm and inviting "shop" for a small group yoga class. Smaller classes allow for more attention and guidance from your instructor. This casual and friendly environment is a wonderful place to grow in your practice as a beginner or intermediate student. All levels can enjoy the benefits of Yoga classes at Mind Body and Soul Care.
Holy Yoga uses Bible based meditations and Christian music inspiration as we move through the poses of a typical yoga class. This wonderful community is open to all and is held on the dock in the warmer months and at various churches during the colder months.
Choose from a series of combination classes to reap more benefits for your Mind Body and Soul Care; Yoga+Hot Soak or Sauna, Facials+Yoga, Massage+Stretch, and other great combination classes.
